If you learn anything from my experience, it's that there are many ways to enhance your intuition, and everyone being different, will experience and resonate with different tools and modalities that can open your heart and mind to a higher consciousness.
As mentioned in a previous blog, I have done yoga on and off since I was in my teens, and meditation within certain yoga poses. I've wondered if it had facilitated some of my psychic experiences early on. In recent years my meditation has expanded to turning inward, concentrating on heart-opening and Chakra-grounding with the intention of always seeking my highest good and communicating with only loving and positive spirits, be they spirit guides, angels, loved ones who have passed over, or the great creator. This led me to take a first step in my journey.
When I first walked into The Spirit University on a Tuesday night and joined the Psychic Practice Circle, I was welcomed warmly and felt an immediate energetic kinship to those seated around the long tables. They were, and still are, an eclectic group; a mix of ages, gender and race. I learned that most of those attending the practice had joined for reasons similar to mine--because they had experienced phenomena that couldn't be explained, and were wanting validation that there was something more to life than just the physical world. During introductions, I learned that there were members who had honed their psychic skills and would freely give mediumship messages to the group, members that had various degrees of perception in reading others (past, present, and future,) and newbies like myself.
The circle has been a safe place to practice various forms of divination, with no pressure, using certain tools to exercise and enhance our intuitive abilities. We follow a set agenda and have guidelines that respect everyone's boundaries. I must also mention that we are adamant about giving evidence in our readings that can clearly connect with an individual or spirit. Persons who may have mental disorders, such as hearing voices as in schizophrenia, will ordinarily drop out soon after, as they are unable to give the evidence required.
In my next blog, I will begin with the first exercise that we did, and how I was amazed by the accuracy of the reading I received, and the reading that I, in turn, gave to the person serendipity had paired me with. Until then, have a blessed and loving Holiday Season!
